Bridge over troubled waters needed for family

A young family in the New Year, it’s supposed to be the most exciting time of their life. Family and friends and everyone looking forward to everything life has to offer. The Cheverino family was getting ready for an event together where they would have a feast and Branden was going to get to use the new turkey fryer he was so excited to finally use. The turkey was prepared, washed, and cleaned however a small amount of moisture was left inside the bird from cleaning it properly. Unknowingly, that little bit of moisture would change  Branden's life forever and would resonate with his family as well.

Everything was fine as the turkey was being lowered into the fryer, then all of a sudden it wasn’t. The boiling hot oil bubbled up in an irruption that burned Branden’s lower body and a split second later a second eruption shot up like a mushroom cloud sending hot oil all over Branden. As if things couldn’t get any worse the oil caught fire. He was burned from head to toe, over 50% of his body.

As the sole income provider for his family his girlfriend is at home with their two children. Branden‘s parents are staying with him 24 / 7 around the clock in the burn unit hoping and praying that Branden will continue to be a father, a husband, and a son as he was once. I know in my heart that Branden will be OK. He is one of the best people I’ve ever met, always doing things for others. Even while he is lying in the hospital completely bound in bandages he still managed to fist bump me, smile, and shake his hips as he did a little dance. I know he misses his family but there’s more pressing issues of monthly financial obligations that among everything else do not need to weigh on his girlfriend and family. We’re not asking for charity but asking you to pay it forward to Branden and his future. We are asking you help lighten the load during this tumultuous time.

If you know Branden, you know the positive light he brings into everyone’s life. Branden is very close with his family. When his dad was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis some years ago, Branden stuck by his dad. He has continued to have the we can beat this attitude and encouraged his dad every step of the way until Branden‘s dad refused to succumb to the disease. Branden has been his dad’s cheerleader throughout his illness and now it’s time for us to do some cheering for him. Branden has a lovely  girlfriend and they’ve been busy making little Chevy’s to carry on their family traditions. Just like Branden needed his dad to survive MS these little ones need their daddy back home with them. In order to get that done, he will need a lot of skin grafts, physical therapy, and time in the hospital to heal. We need you to do lot of pushing, cheering, and praying on the sidelines. However this time of recovery is also going to require financial contributions from those that are able to give. The treatment, cost and bills never stop and support is needed.
