Chewie's Cruciate Ligament Surgery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Animal Lovers, and Kind Strangers,
My name is Loren, and I am reaching out to you during a challenging time for my beloved dog, Chewie. He has recently been diagnosed with a cruciate ligament rupture in his left leg—a painful condition similar to a torn ACL. This injury has left him struggling to walk, and he urgently needs surgery to regain his mobility.
Chewie is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu and Yorkshire Terrier mix, and he is the most friendly, lovable, outgoing dog. He adores exploring the outdoors and going on long walks, but now he’s in so much pain that he can barely move. It breaks my heart to see him limping knowing that without this surgery, the risk of his condition worsening and of his other leg getting injured are extremely high. If his left leg remains untreated, the added pressure on his right leg (from favoring it) could lead to a cruciate ligament rupture on his right leg as well.
Chewie has been with me since he was 4 months old, and nothing hurts more than seeing him in pain and not being able to help.
The cost of the surgery is significant, estimated to be $6,000 for one leg, and it's beyond my financial capacity at the moment to pay for the surgery on my own. I find myself overwhelmed by the financial burden of this unexpected expense and am reaching out to you with a humble heart, hoping for any support you can provide. Whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this message with others who might help, every little bit makes a difference.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your kindness and compassion. Your support means the world to me and will help Chewie regain the ability to walk freely again.
With gratitude,
Loren & Chewie
