This is the Phillips Family! They live in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky.  Cheyenne is the daughter of Allen & Brittany Phillips.

Cheyenne is now two years old and has endured more in her little life than most. Back in August, her mother made an emotional post describing what Cheyenne has been through and is continuing to face.

'One year ago today, I got the call. The Call confirming a parent's worst fear.

The beginning of the conversation went very quickly and I tried to write everything down. I didn't understand some of the words he said... Neuroblastoma? I just wanted to rule out that it was cancer so I asked... "It's not cancer, right?" He said, "It's cancer." I'll never forget the way he said it. I'll never forget the way I felt...devastated, disbelieving, shocked, helpless, angry. My 10 month old PERFECT baby girl has cancer...it couldn't be real. My whole world stopped, but only for a moment. The doctor was silent while the news soaked in. While I tried unsuccessfully to hold back the heartbroken sobs. Then I had to listen to what he said next... the plan for the next several days. Then I had to call and tell my husband. He must have felt the same way I did when I heard the news, but he held it together because one of us had to.

We took her to the hospital for more testing. We got home and we waited. They were the longest, most horrible days of our lives. We waited to find out how aggressive the cancer was. Was it in her bones? Everywhere in her body? The tumor was in her neck, so close to the brain... please God, don't let it be in her brain.

Thankfully, we got the best news we could have asked for in this situation. The cancer was only in her neck and was only intermediate in aggression. Her plan was to go through 2 rounds of chemo and then have surgery to remove the remaining tumor. At the time, It sounded horrible. Looking back now, I wish with everything in me that it was all she had to go through.

Now, this year, she is facing so much more than we would have ever imagined. After her chemo and surgery last year, her cancer reoccurred. It was deeper in the neck this time and very hard for the surgeon to get to. They had to do another biopsy to make sure this was the same type of cancer, and the same aggression. If they found it to be the same as last year, the plan would be 6 more rounds of chemo and possibly radiation or further surgery. Thankfully, It was the same type, same aggression and still no where else in her body. The surgeon decided it would be better to remove the tumor in its entirety instead of just getting a portion to biopsy and hopefully avoid another surgery to the area later. Her entire tumor was gone! That sounded amazing! It was good news, but the surgery was very intense and she ended up with nerve damage, which effected her swallowing. She now has a feeding tube and we don't know if or when she will ever recover enough to not need it. She has gotten sick several times which resulted in aspiration pneumonia because most of the fluid went to her lungs. She has had surgeries to her stomach to put the feeding tube in and to prevent vomiting by wrapping her stomach around her esophagus.'

Cheyenne is getting ready for her last round of chemo! She has recently had a scan that showed no sign of cancer anywhere! Cheyenne also welcomed a new BABY BROTHER! Although her scans have come back clear, Cheyenne still has a long road ahead to fully recover from her surgeries. She will continue to have follow-up appointments, scans, and therapies.  Between a new precious baby and Cheyenne's medical, you can imagine what they are facing financially. Anything will help this family!

Thank you for all the love and support. God is good and is blessing the Phillips family daily.
