Cheyenne’s Journey to Dental Implants

Hi, my name is Cheyenne. I am 31 years old with a full set of dentures. I was only 20 when I got all of my teeth removed and had to get dentures. Just in the past few months, starting in January I have rapidly lost bone in my jaw and my gums. I can’t eat normally, or wear my dentures comfortably and that makes it hard to smile or be confident in daily life.

I was told by my oral surgeon that I need implants as soon as I can get them. It’s imperative that I get implants before my jaw bone deteriorates anymore. So this is definitely a time sensitive thing. It’s painful to eat, it’s hard to talk, and talking is my job. I am a full time server and a part time photographer, working on making my dream of being a full time wedding photographer possible. I have been trying to build my credit and save money but it’s so hard to save enough for this type of purchase, even with two jobs. Especially in such a short time. So I’m here telling my story, hoping to get some help and raise the money to get my dental implants. The Implants I need cost $33,000 in total for both uppers and lowers but for now I just need to get the process started and try to get a down payment or anything to help me with this process. 

If you’re able to help at all, I would be so grateful. I want to be able to share my journey through my TikTok and help other people out there struggling with wearing dentures, or just help educate people who have dentures about the things I was never taught about.

You guys are my angels. The amount of support and donations I have received is incredible. I never imagined that sharing my story would get me to where I am now. Luckily through all this, I was able to find an amazing dental implants specialist who works on extreme bone loss cases like mine and he has offered to do my work, since I’ve already raised over $20k, I was able to book the appointment for the end of June and I can’t believe it’s finally happening! All because of you guys! ❤️ the doctor says the work I need done is possibly Zygomatic implants (cheek implants due to bone loss) and 4 implants on bottom, with permanent upper and lower bridges installed day of surgery. The fixed zirconia bridge will be placed once I’ve healed up a few months after the surgery. For this it is $38,000 so I have edited the amount that I need to raise, since I’m looking at more work needing to be done and found a specialist that is willing to take on my case. I feel SO incredibly blessed for each and every one of you who have already donated, you truly don’t know how grateful I am. I never thought I could even raise $1k, let alone $20k. The surgery is scheduled for June 29th and I’ll be flying to PA to Smart Arches to get the surgery. ITS HAPPENING & all thanks to you guys. This is my jawbone as of March 1st, 2023

This is me right after I had my braces taken off, I had some stains and some decay but nothing that said you should have all of your teeth pulled. 

This was me before I got my braces. My teeth were beautiful! I miss that smile.

This was me the day I got my top teeth extracted and got my immediate upper denture. 

This is me now. My dentures barely fit. The lab that did them made them extremely big, they do not fit my face and I do not feel confident with these. And they are extremely painful because of how little gum I have. 

This is me without my teeth, showing just how much my face has sunken in now without having any implants and that support to keep me from losing bone. This is why it’s so important that I get implants now to avoid losing anymore bone!!!
