Join us in supporting girls’ education and preventing gender based violence in Nepal.
Chhori is a women-led non-profit organization working to support girls in Nepal. Chhori means “daughter” in Nepali, a name chosen because of Chhori’s mission to improve the the state of women and girls in Nepal.
Chhori focuses on preventing trafficking and gender based violence, as well as supporting access to education for adolescent girls.
Through this project, Chhori will support 500 girls who are survivors of violence, trafficking and abuse by providing access to formal education through scholarships to improve their life outcomes. The girls will also receive life skills training to help them develop their voice and self esteem, empowering them to know their worth and value.
In addition to providing access to formal education and life skills training, this project will provide girls with psychosocial support to help them heal from trauma associated with their past experiences.
Additionally, girls will learn about their rights and how to advocate for themselves. Chhori will introduce them to various platforms where they can make their voices heard on issues affecting their lives, developing a community of girls who are leading the change they want to see in their communities.
Join us in supporting powerful adolescent girls in Nepal!
