My beloved grandmothers funeral expenses

Hello, I’m Naila Sao-Ros and I’m seeking help to raise funds for my grandmother's funeral. My grandmother, Chhorm Sao was diagnosed with lung cancer and battled for 6 long years. We put all our time, and efforts into her, cherishing her all the while.

Whilst my grandma was lying there in her hospital bed suffering from physical turmoil that her affliction was putting her through, our family watched in heartache as she became a shadow of herself, from laughing and smiling, enjoying card games with us to suddenly becoming quiet and withdrawn. The cancer spread far enough that it reached her bones, making it untreatable. She had to deal with excruciating pain, difficulty breathing, and was unable to consume.

She would have trouble drinking water, and we would have to change the way we can give her what most people consider a daily necessity. She went from drinking from cups by herself, to having to use syringes, and finally having to resort to using swabs to keep her hydrated. Even though her eyes couldn’t stay open, she would grab our faces and pull us closer as if she was trying to get a better glimpse of us.

We all believe that she deserves a beautiful and proper funeral, so just by donating whatever you can, you can help my family achieve some piece of mind. My grandmother was the most adorable woman; her giggle is unforgettable and so is her gummy smile. Her caressing my face with the last of her ability will be my favorite last memories of her. Her love was contagious and brought warmth to our hearts.
