Our sweet angel, Chiara, passed away unexpectedly on August 23rd, 2024 from a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH). CDH is a rare condition that occurs in 1 of every 2,500 births. While treatments for CDH can be successful if caught early on, this condition is still widely misdiagnosed and there is a lack of research on what causes CDH.
To honor Chiara's memory, we’re raising funds that will be donated to Phoenix Children's Hospital. In her final moments, Chiara was surrounded by an amazing team of doctors and nurses at PCH and we are forever grateful for that.
We will be splitting the donation into several categories - the CDH Clinic, the Hope Fund, and the Family Assistance Fund.
The first going directly to the CDH clinic at PCH. We want to ensure families whose babies are diagnosed with this condition are receiving the highest quality care available during this difficult journey. The Hope Fund allows PCH to invest in state-of-the-art equipment and technology, cutting-edge research and clinical trials, as well as innovative clinical programs. Last but not least, a donation to the Family Assistance Fund will allow PCH to support families with emergency relief for various expenses and services for those facing loss.
We hope to turn our grief into something meaningful, ensuring that Chiara's light continues to shine. Thank you for your love, support, and generosity during this difficult time.
