Chicago 2024 National Convention

Hello Family, Friends, and Colleagues,

I am excited to announce the honor of being nominated and elected for the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, IL, August 19- 23, 2024 as a member of the Temporary Platform Committee. This quite an honor to be appointed by the Virginia State Democratic Party Chairwoman as one of four that are appointed to this committee in each state.

The Temporary Platform Committee creates the tone for the Party platforms and is important to the electoral process. It gives the candidates a clear political position with which they can campaign. It gives voters a sense of what the candidates believe in, the issues they think are important, and how—if elected—they will address them.

During the Democratic National Convention, the Platform Committee will meet to review the current platform, make any adjustments needed, and present at the convention.

I would like to have your financial support as this is an out-of-pocket expense. I need to raise $5,500.00 for this trip. The funds will cover airfare, ground transportation, hotel, conference scooter rental, food, and incidentals.
