Chicago Community Bond Fund Chicago TMA
To our colleagues in the Chicago TMA and AFM Local 10-208:
In an effort to support communities that have been systematically oppressed and are actively seeking to make major changes in America, we have established a GoFundMe Page--all proceeds of which will go directly to Chicago Community Bond Fund . A list of links below provide additional resources and action steps for you to engage and participate.
As musicians, we all recognize and appreciate that no aspect of America's artistic culture would exist without the excellence, genre-defining talents, and essential influence of People of Color, especially African-Americans; the world is immeasurably enriched for those contributions.
At this crucial point in history, much of American society is mobilizing and awakening to the truths that too many have experienced for far too long: that while the world may never be fair, justice must be made equal. We urge all of you to respond in whatever ways you feel are the most effective in encouraging the societal change that fairness, decency, and basic humanity demand.
