Chicago UBF Refugee PSG

Hello! My name is Maria and together with Kevin, Traci, Dayani, and Lauren, we have formed a Private Sponsor Group to welcome refugees to Chicago through Welcome Corps. Refugees are people who are forced to flee their country due to war or persecution. They want to return home, but they can’t. Over 35.3 million people are living outside their home country as refugees. This is the largest and longest global refugee crisis ever recorded.

As a group, we are committed to providing core services to a refugee individual for a 90-day period. We have gone through the proper training and are ready to sponsor a refugee. Now, we have a match and are looking forward to meeting the refugee soon! We are required to raise money to cover their living expenses for the first three months in the US. Throughout all of this, we have the full support of our Private Sponsor Organization, Exodus World Service.
