Chicago’s Machete Mike

Micheal Malinowski “Machete Mike” has been playing in Chicago’s CTA Red Line for years. He’s highly known by frequent riders and tourists, his videos are posted all over YouTube and other platforms of social media. Even growing up Mikes only passion was music, the thought of doing anything else with his life was never an option for him. On February 4th, while doing what he loves he was attacked by a deranged woman who tried to push him onto the tracks, when not successful she stabbed him with a kitchen knife. During the ordeal, his amplifier and guitar were destroyed. We are asking for donations to help replace his belongings and help him get back to work to cover his medical bills and other necessities to get back on his feet. Anything helps, he still loves what he does and wants nothing more than to just keep playing his music.
