Blytheville Chickasaw Football
My name is Courtney Fisher and I am trying to raise money to help out members of the Blytheville Chickasaw Football Team. There are several camps over the summer that some of our boys would like to attend, but since they are not "team" camps, it isn't something the school can pay for. For some (most) of our kids, coming up with a few hundred dollars would be next to impossible. We have had some luck in the past with generous Chickasaw fans, so I am hoping the giving spirit will continue.
While I hope we will raise a significant amount of money with GoFundMe, we are also going to make sure that the boys who want to go 1.) get out and earn some money as well and 2.) are well-behaved students. We will be holding a car wash and the boys will need to participate in a few other community service type activities to "earn" the right to go.
IF we happen to surpass our goal, then that money will be used for other expenses that come up over the course of the season that are not covered by the athletic budget (other camps, Thursday night Family Dinners, extra snacks for away games, pink socks for October, etc.)
This program has made a drastic turn-around in the past few years, and I feel some of the reason is because there have been extra activities that bring the team together as a family. And a lot of that has been done out of the pockets of the coaches and a few dedicated parents and fans. I have had others ask how they can help...so here's that chance!
This team means the world to me and I'd do just about anything to help them. I'd be forever thankful if you would find it in your heart to help them, too.
Go Chicks!
