Chief Chris Tracy Memorial - We got you Brother!

Hi, my name is George Gomola, I serve as an Assistant Fire Chief for the Fairfield Fire Department. Chris Tracy was my brother and my friend. While he wore many hats, the one he was most proud of was his fire helmet. He dedicated his life to perfecting his craft. As a firefighter/EMT, he was one of the best – courageous and kind. As a Company Officer, he was the one that everyone wanted to work with. As a Chief Officer, he led with vision, compassion, and empathy. As a Training Director and Safety Officer, he kept his people safe and made learning fun. Chris made it all seem so easy.

He worked tirelessly as an agent for change on the local, state, and national levels. His advocacy resulted in legislation that helps protect firefighters from occupational hazards, provides benefits for firefighters’ families, and resulted in the construction of the Fairfield Regional Fire School, which he directed. His passing hurts greatly all who knew him.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help pay for his memorial service and to provide financial assistance to his wife Gina and his son Michael during this time of mourning.
