Child gone blind

My name is Jane, and I’m reaching out for help for my incredible son, Joseph. Joseph is only 14 years old and has always been a caring and compassionate young man. He has even taken on the role of helping to care for his disabled sibling, showing kindness and strength beyond his years.
Recently, our world turned upside down. While Joseph was walking home with his bike, he was struck in the eye by a firework from a nearby house. The injury was severe, leaving him permanently blind in one eye. He has already been through major surgery and will likely need more procedures as he recovers and adapts.
This has been a devastating change for Joseph, impacting every part of his life. He will no longer be able to provide the care he so selflessly gave to his sibling and will now require support himself. My heart aches to see him go through this, but I am determined to do everything I can to give him the tools he needs to keep moving forward.
We’re raising funds to help adapt our home for Joseph, so he can navigate daily life more comfortably. These funds will also help cover educational resources to ensure he can continue his studies and pursue his hobbies, which are so important for his happiness and confidence. Additionally, as our family faces reduced work hours to provide him with the care he now needs, these funds will help with travel costs for frequent hospital visits.
Joseph is an incredible young man with so much potential and a heart of gold. He has already been through so much, and I want nothing more than to see him smile and thrive again.
Thank you for reading our story, and for any support you can offer. It means the world to us xx
