Childcare For My Daughter So I Can Work

Hello.

My name is Laura and I am fundraising to get caught up on my bills, specifically childcare.

I don't know where to begin. I did not want to start a Go Fund Me for myself, as I felt it would be in poor taste. Yet here I am because I don't know what else to do.

I am a single mother, and I have been since day one. I have never received one cent of child support. My daughter is seven and currently in grade two. The past few years have been really tough. I am behind in everything- rent, utilities, and childcare. I have been under-employed or unemployed many times in the past few years. I am currently unemployed and have been since November. At one point, I worked more than full-time, but my employer didn't pay me for three months of work. I have been searching for employment continuously, but now I have come across yet another barrier. I received a letter in my daughter's backpack the other day stating that my daughter cannot attend her childcare anymore unless I pay them $836 and have a payment plan to pay the remaining $836 owed. This means I am VERY, VERY limited in the hours I can work and I am struggling as it is. I am currently living off of AB works, which doesn't even provide me with enough money to pay my monthly bills, let alone pay this extra $836 so I can HOPEFULLY find a job that will work with the hours I am available.

All of the funds will be used to pay the $836 I owe to the childcare so I can hopefully return to work. If there is anything above the $836, it will be used to pay the money I am in arrears with my landlord so I don't get evicted and to get caught up with Enmax and Direct Energy so they do not put me on a limiter again. I am hoping that with adequate childcare, I can eventually find employment again and make a payment plan with my daughter's childcare provider.

I know there are many people in WAY WORSE situations than I am, but I am facing possible eviction and I really need to get back to work, and I can not do that without childcare.
