Children are a Gift from God-Let's Save Them

Donation protected
"Can you come now? Children are dying because we don't have access to medications that are readily available in the United States." I can remember Peter's words vividly. He is a board member for Danita's Children and Linzi is the administrator  for their Pediatric  Medical Center in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. They had been praying for 2 months for a pharmacist to come alongside to find low cost procurement of essential medications and to also organize their pharmacies and provide inventory management. I'm a pharmacist and so is my husband and our family has a heart for Haiti especially since our children sponsor a young boy there. So, we cancelled our vacation plans and were on a plane 6 weeks later and just love the multifaceted, Christ centered ministry there. We were able to spend a day partially organizing one of the pharmacies with bins and add to their inventory with our donations. Our hearts were filled with sadness as we saw the poverty and especially the severely malnourished children but were we also filled with joy to see all of the children who were healthy, loved, thriving, and filled with hope because people cared, donated and even dedicated their lives to provide love, hope and healing.

During a short vision trip with my husband Doug, our son, Troy,  and daughter in law, Brittany, we were able to see the amazing things that God has done in the past 20 years. Danita established a church with an attendance of 500 people, they have a orphanage with 80 children, a school for over 300 children in the community, a special needs home for abandoned children and the pediatric medical center that is also a 24/7 malnutrition hospital for the severely malnourished from the rural communities. We have decided to head back with a 9 person medical team that will be going to Danita's Children from March 2-9th to participate in 2 days of clinic outreaches to the community and also a rural outreach with an objective of seeing over 1000 patients. We also plan to organize their two pharmacies, Lord willing.

We would really appreciate prayer support for provision, wisdom, unity, safety of travel, health and for the Lord to provide hope and healing  through eternal salvation and physical healing.

We are trying to raise funds to provide medications for the sick and malnourished children during the outreaches ($2500), Akros-Mills storage bins for the pharmacy medications ($1000), an iPad and software/app for pharmacy inventory management ($1500?), satellite internet($1000) plus support to help pay for Doug and my trip ($4000) for a total of $10,000. We need the funds for the medications within two weeks so we have time to order and receive them.

I'm hoping/praying that we can eventually raise more funds to provide for all of the medications for the year ($30000) to provide 20,000 treatments so they don't have to turn patients away, a Polaris 6 seater ATV to deliver medications and Medika Mamba to the mountainous areas to help prevent some of the severe malnourishment and fatalities ($12000 or $20,000 if it has to be shipped and customs fees have to be paid). Danita's Children wants to start transforming villages by providing farm animals, agriculture and clean water which would greatly decrease the rate of malnourishment. If you have any connections or ideas, please let me know. (especially pharmacy inventory management software/app for developing countries)

Together, we can make a huge difference one child at a time in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and the number one country in terms of malnourishment according to the 2017 World Atlas facts! Please pray, give and share this need with your family and friends! You are appreciated and may God bless you!
