Children of Boxer Ernest "Lightning Bug" Hall

This is the only official "gofundme" website on behalf of the three children of Boxer Ernest "Lightning Bug" Hall. My name is Araf Al Ndee Al Apache, an elder family member and family representative of the children of Ernest Hall 3rd.

Ernest Hall was a beloved son, grandson, brother and most importantly Father of three beautiful children that he untimely left behind. On March 23, 2023, Ernie "Lightning Bug" Hall was leaving a local store in Baltimore Maryland when he was cowardly shot in a mass shooting event and tragically killed. Four other youths were also shot in the event including a 15-year-old child whom we ask that you also keep in your prayers.

Ernie was the proud owner of Lightning Fit Gym located at 1000 Morton St, Baltimore Maryland 21201; a Gym that he longed dream to own and built by hand with his father figure, his eldest daughter's Mother's Father Joel "the builder" Johnson. We will be holding a separate fundraising event(s) for the gym as it has now passed onto his children and we ask for your prayers and support in its future success.

The funds raised through this account will be distributed equally between Ernest's children and trust funds have been established by their mothers on the children's behalf. Ernest was not just an exceptional Boxer, Coach, or Gym owner... he was the type of person that when you met him, and as soon as you met him, even in a small passing interaction, you could immediately feel and see he was a shining light. He changed you, or at least changed your day just from his amazing spirit. He was a true King of his family, a renowned Baltimore community leader, a fierce anti-gun violence advocate, a beloved youth advocate and a loving Father. He changed countless troubled inner-city children's lives through boxing and sports therapy giving them confidence and showing them a different road to travel while they navigated through Baltimore City's violent landscape. Even these words being said about him here to anyone who knew him or even met him would simply echo what they already knew of him. So these words are for everyone else who did not get the pleasure of knowing him, it is you who we ask on his children's behalf to watch his video, his fights, and his interviews in the news and give what your heart and spirit move you to give on his children's behalf. Ernie has already earned his Title Belt, he is now at peace with his fellow Champions, however, his children are here with all of us so we ask on behalf of them and on behalf of the creator of us all.
