For Children Affected by Earthquake
Over 800 casualties have been reported as of 4/25/2015 8:08AM CST when 7.9 richter scale earthquake struck Nepal about 9 hours ago. More casualties are yet to be reported from non-metropolitan areas.
Disaster response teams are on the ground, and are facing difficulties transporting bodies due to highly affected air and land transportation. Phone connections are heavily affected as well.
I have created this page to raise funds for the affected CHILDREN of this traumatic situation. Your donations will be sent directly to local organizations that work directly with children in Nepal.
I guarantee that children, especially in non-metropolitan areas, are the most vulnerable and will be most affected by this catastrophe.
Nepal is one of the poorest countries in the world.
I will be sure to update donors on where and how exactly their funds would be used.
Thank you all,

Assistance details:
$1000 has been provided to CWIN (Child Workers in Nepal Concerned Center) for medicine and tents in Naikap, near Kathmandu.
$500 worth of items purchased by my uncle in Lamjung to bring to Eastern Lamjung (epicenter) in the next day or two. This is a remote part of country, so it will take a couple days to travel.
$1000 utilized by local team of volunteers to build tents for families in rural parts.
$1500-$2000 for a team traveling to various remote parts of Nepal to provide food and medicine for families with children. Many of these areas haven't seen relief/aid agencies even a week after the catastrophe.
More? We will need more than $5000. If that happens, we'll shift our focus from immediate relief to long-term strategic assistance for children (especially in areas of health and education).
