Children’s Air Ambulance
Donation protected
Our son Joey is 6 years old and lives in Towcester. Joey recently signed up to be a member of #TheCrew for the Children’s Air Ambulance after hearing his mum talking about them to his dad.
The Children’s Air Ambulance is a lifesaving transfer service for
critically ill babies and children.
When a child is too sick to travel, they can fly medical teams and bespoke equipment to them from across the UK, turning their local hospital into a specialist centre.
After Joey learnt what the Children’s Air Ambulance did, he said he wanted to try and do something to help them, which got us thinking.
Joey was given a challenge at school called the “100 Challenge”, this was after having a zoom assembly with his school about Captain Sir Tom Moore, where he had to do 100 of something, just like Sir Tom. After lots of thinking and brainstorming some ideas, Joey wanted to do some creative, similar to the painting and hiding of rocks that many towns have taken part in, so after some looking around, he decided he wanted to make up some key rings and that is just what he has started to do, a while 100 of them.
The key rings are going to very simple and Joey calls them “The key rings to make you smile”. Joey is going to be placing these around his home town of Towcester for people to find whilst out walking and they get to keep them and he hopes it will give them something to smile about during this tough time for everyone. He has plenty of spares, so if anybody would like a particular colour and word putting on a key ring, please do just ask.
He has said, that if anybody that finds a key ring would like to donate a little something to the Children’s Air Ambulance, he would be very happy but they don’t have to
After this, the next part of the fundraiser will be putting a quiz sheet together that people can purchase for a small amount in the chance to win some prizes.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this and if you would like to donate, however big or small, Joey would like to thank you very very much.
