Sometimes bad things happen to good people and while we were away for a wedding, our family home burnt down, leaving our mum (Chrissie Hill) with a mortgage and no home. We are asking for people that know mum and those who don't to show her that the glass is half full. We need to raise at least $25,000 just to demolish our home, anything above that will help fence off the property and possibly help Chrissie to build something to call home. She is in need of a helping hand, even though she would struggle to ask and some much needed TLC . Chrissie is a strong woman that brought up two girls on her own, working 7 day weeks in Broome heat so we could go to dance classes and have CD's when we got our end of term reports, on the premise that we had tried our very best. Chrissie has been giving back to the Broome community for 30 years. She collected aluminium cans for 10 years fundraising to build the Broome Aquatic Centre, chaperoned school camps and excursions, volunteered in the school canteen, helped with the dance school float paraded year after year and gave kids in the neighborhood that had it tougher than us lifts home from school. We had a constant supply of people that were down on their luck sleeping in our garage or in the caravan up the back yard and a house that was always full of stray unwanted animals. With a long journey ahead of her in trying to rebuild her home and her heart we are asking for people to give generously and know that every penny will help make a difference and help get mum back on track. We thank all of you for your love and care, our family will be forever grateful x Kara and Roxanne Hill-Curlie
