China’s medical expenses

Donation protected
Hello my name is Ariel, and I am trying to help raise funds to help out with my cat’s ongoing vet expenses . China is currently 7 months old and a beloved member of our family.

On September 18th my nephew accidentally caught China’s back leg with her cat tree and broke all 4 bones in her foot. This break, has been the start to a very rough road for our sweet China. She was taken to a regular vet that splinted her back leg and she followed up with on a weekly basis for the following 4 weeks. At the end of the 4 weeks, China had a repeat x-ray and the veterinarian said the splint could come off on October 17th.

Much to our dismay, on October 30th, we came home to find that China had re-injured herself. I took her to another vet, an exotic vet, that has many years experience working with cats like China. He x-rayed her back leg and found that it had re-broke in the same spot as before. He said 4 weeks in the splint was no long enough for a cat like China. Unfortunately after taking her home with her new cast I realized something else was wrong with China as she was unable to walk. we followed up the next day and got more x-ray to determine that her front shoulder was completely snapped in two.

China went into surgery to repare her shoulder on November 2nd to repair her shoulder. She was recovering wonderfully and even walking around in her crate. We went in for her one week follow up visit and to replace the cast on her back leg, as she had chewed on it and damaged it two nights prior. Once we got home from the vets, I immediately realized China couldn’t walk again, so she was seen again the next day and new x-rays showed that she had tore her shoulder back apart.

China just went in for her second surgery to re-stabilize her front shoulder on November 13th. We have been having weekly vet visits and are continuing to have weekly vet visit to monitor her back cast, and the proper healing of her shoulder. China has had blood work done as well that all came back good. However due to recent house repairs, China’s ongoing vet bills and surgeries have definitely put me in a very tight spot. There is also concern for her back foot (which is to be casted for at least 8 wks) may not heal due to being rebroke after it had already started to heal, the vet called it a non-union, if this does occur China will have to go to an orthopedic specialist for surgery on her back foot.
I am a full time single parent and unfortunately at this time with the recent cascade of events I am finding myself in a very hard spot. China is very important to me and my family and I will do what ever I can to try to give her the best care and hopefully get her healed. I am asking if you are able to please help me if you can in ensuring China receives the care that she needs, thank you.
