Chinaway
Donation protected
In the summer of 2019, I attended a volunteer program called Chinaway. The purpose of this program is to reach students in all corners China to teach them English. This includes teaching them American culture, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and language arts in general. The program targets the villages and small towns in China where schools don't have the resources to teach English to students. This program has been around for over a decade and has helped thousands of children/students. Last year I donated a personal contribution of $1600 but because of this years circumstances, I gathered a small team to raise more money for the program. I had the opportunity to experience this first-hand so I saw how desperate and willing these children were to learn English. This was very eye-opening experience for me because it showed me how lucky I am to have the education available for me and how important it is to give back to the less fortunate. Personally, I am a slacker from time to time, so to see how little resources these students in China were open to really made me feel very grateful. Therefore, this year I decided to start a gofundme to help these children in need. Since we wont be able to teach the students in person this year we will give classes through Zoom, a video communication/conference platform. The goal is to raise $3,000 dollars before August before the program ends. My team and the children would be very grateful for any amount of donation, this is a collective effort and 5 dollars would make a change in the lives of these less privileged children in China. This may not be much because there are millions of children in these conditions but it's a start. This may just be a ripple in but in the ocean but we can all work together to make a difference and you can be a part of that. Thank you, Chinaway appreciates your help in this cause.
