Raising money for Chinese Welfare Trust
Giving back to the community is something I’m really passionate about, especially when it’s so close to home. This year, I’ll be running the London Marathon and raising as much money as I can for the Chinese Welfare Trust—a charity dedicated to meeting the needs of elderly Chinese people, living in the UK.
The Trust has spearheaded making improvements in the quality of life of people with Chinese heritage living with dementia, and their family carers in London, by setting up a specialist support service with Dementia UK. The Chinese-speaking CWT Admiral Nurse Clinic, launched in September 2022, is their latest offering, and the number of families the service is helping has been increasing month on month. Currently presented as a pilot project, the Trust aims to establish the service on a permanent basis. Another ambition of CWT is to establish an extra care home to cater for the needs of Chinese elderly people.
Every donation counts, so please contribute however you can. And thank you in advance for your support.
