Help Support Chioma's Burial

Chioma Ofoegbu is a loving mother of a 2 weeks old miracle baby after waiting on the Lord for 5years. She is a medical doctor who is currently a UK GP trainee, gave birth on July 20th in canada. On July 30th 2023, she went to the ER after noticing a spike in her blood pressure. While waiting to be seen, she became confused and was later found to have massive intra cerebral hemmorrage (Brain bleed) that is inoperable. Noticeably, her blood pressure was normal throughout pregnancy and during the one week post natal nurse visit. Since that fateful day, she has been in a coma at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the University of Alberta Hospital Edmonton.

Chioma is a very kind and compassionate physician who has spent most part of her adult life caring for patients. She has a passion for mentoring new, young physicians entering into the UK health system and has dreams of continuing her patient care after maternity leave.

Her husband Duncan( Desmond Obih) is devastated as you could imagine and is spending most of his time beside his wife in the hospital, hoping for a good outcome. Meanwhile, their bills are pilling up, the cost of providing a nanny to look after the new baby, accommodation, transportation, and other needs. A recent MRI shows that the brain bleed has stopped, and there is no significant coning of the brain. From what the doctors are saying, we do not know how long this journey will take.
