My former colleague, one of the most promising researchers in Nara language and culture, who has been pursuing his Ph.D. in Naples University, has died of a short illness and was buried there on March 29th. The late Issa, who quickly rose in his career and research endeavors, was the former head of the Department of Eritrean Languages and Literature; and assistant professor at the English Department in CBSS, (Adi-Keih) in Eritrea. Issa, coming from a very disadvantaged background, defied his fate and has been excelling both in his teaching and research work. I am creating this GoFundMe page as the family whose sole supporter was Issa, is now in a dire situation, on top of the tragedy. Please chip in what you could as any contribution would help the family; whose expenses would also be even doubled with the holly month of Ramadan.

ንስድራቤት ዒሳ ኣደም ንምሕጋዝ

ቅድም ኣብ ዩኒቨርስቲ ኣስመራ፡ ዳሕራይ ድማ ኮለጅ ጥበባትን ማሕበራዊ ስነ-ፍልጠትን ንልዕሊ ሽዱሽተ ዓመታት መሳርሕተይ ዝነበረ ዒሳ ኣደም፡ ንናይ ዶክተርየት ትምህርቱ ኣብ ናፖሊ ኢጣልያ ይከታተልሉ ኣብ ዝነበረ እዋን ድሕሪ ናይ ሓጺር ሕማም ዓሪፉ ኣሎ። ቀብሩ ድማ 29 መጋቢት ኣብታ ከተማ ተፈጺሙ። ኣንጻር ኩሉ መሰናኽላት ሰጊሩ፡ ኣብ ትምህርቱን፡ ስራሓቱን ናይ ምርምር ዕዮኡን ብጽቡቕ ዝግስግስ ዝነበረ ዒሳ፡ መወዳእታ “ተረጋጊአ” ኣብ ዝበሎ እዋን ተዀሊፉ። ሓላፊ ክፍሊ ቋንቋታትን ስነ-ጽሑፍን ኤርትራ ከምኡ’ውን ተሓጋግዚ ፕሮፈሰር ኣብ ክፍሊ እንግሊዘኛ (ዳሕራይ) ዝነበረ ዒሳ፡ኣብ ቋንቋን ባህሊን ናራ ኣተኲሩ ዓበይቲ ምርምራዊ ስራሓት ዝገብር ዝነበረን፡ ካብቶም ኣብዚ ደረጃ ዝበጽሑ ኣዝዮም ቍንጣሮ ተወላዶ እቲ ብሄርን’ዩ።

ዒሳ፡ ምስቲ ኵሉ ጉያኡ፡ ኣላይ ስድራ’ውን’ዩ ነይሩ። እዚ ምስ መቕርቡ ብምምርዳድእ ከፊተዮ ዘለኹ ገጽ እምበኣር፡ ነታ ክልተ ኣደራዕ ዝወረዳን ኣብ መሪር ሓዘንን እትርከብ ስድራ መጠናዊ ናይ ሓዘንን--ምስቲ ወጻኢታቱ ዝበዝሕ ቅነ ጾም ሮሞዳን ድማ--ገለ ኣበርክቶ እንተ ገበረን ብምባል’የ።
