As a vocalist and bassist, became a staple in the local scene, carrying the kind of warmth that turns strangers into friends. Not only has he captivated audiences with his talent, but Chip has also been a devoted husband to his loving wife Julie, and a father to two beautiful daughters, Cassie, a precious 8-year-old who sees her dad as her superhero, and Cathryn, his eldest, who inherited her dad's passion for music.

As an artist, Chip's life has been about crafting melodies that speak to the soul, about celebrating life’s ups and downs, and embracing the unknown with courage and a smile. Unfortunately, the Steele family's melody has been interrupted by the stark reality of Chip's diagnosis.
