Chloe's Next Step in Life

Most people would begin their story with 'Since I was a child I have always wanted to be a...' this is no lie as since the age of 5 I have always wanted to be a performer. Growing up in a little seaside town you never think that you could persue a dream so big.
I started dancing in a local village hall 1 night a week for a couple of hours. I was lucky enough to not have two left feet as I was soon dancing with the older girls.
Thanks to Alex Mattimoe and Gemma Nicholson's advice and teaching in my early years they soon helped me realise that this was something I dreamed to do. Even though they didn't want me to leave, the decision was made that I moved to a bigger dance school in the town.
I then had the opportunity to take part in musicals, pantomimes and variety shows at the local YMCA. This is where I had played my first main role in Hairspray as Penny. By then I was doing classes 5 nights a week in all aspects of Musical Theatre. Whilst here I was also lucky enough to be part of the Scarborough Open Air Theatre 2012 Olympic Torch ceremony, compete at British Arts Senior solo song placing 2nd and taking part in workshops with west end performers.

At the age of 16 I made the decision to move to Hattons School of Performing Arts to persue my career by gaining a place on their BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Musical Theatre where I have progressed in Tap, Modern Jazz, Ballet, Freestyle Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Commercial, Street, Pop vocals, Musical Theatre Vocals and Acting to an advanced level. Within this training I have been taught by world professionals and teachers from top stage schools such as Josh & Craig Warmby, Stewart Arnold, Craig Lee and Nigel Richards. Being part of HSOPA has seen me grow in all aspects of Musical Theatre and I would like to thank all the students and teachers there for all their support and the opportunities they have given me.
The hardest decision of all was choosing the stage school for me after 6 auditions I was given 4 offers and a recall from stage schools offering different courses and training. After various discussions I have decided to confirm my place at Bodywork Peforming Arts Cambridge UK. Unfortunatly the goverment do not fund these types of courses with student loans although they are at degree standard. With limited funding from scholarships and bursaries with tuition fees of £11,250 a year for 3 years I will be working hard every weekend to save as many pennies as possible as well as contacting local companies and organisations in the hope of some sort of sponsorship.
I am now asking YOU... as family and friends to spare a couple of pound to help me 'live my dream'
Every £ helps.

Thank you to everyone for your support especially over the last couple of months in my audition process.
