Chloe Tucker ACL Surgery

Hi everyone,
My name is Chloe and I am the Captain for Southampton Women’s FC - The Sirens in The FA Women’s National League. Alongside playing, I am a full time teacher in specialist needs provision, working with vulnerable young people with additional needs in Southampton.
On 24th February 2024 I sustained a knee injury in our home game v Bridgwater. I received the ball in midfield and went to play a long range pass. I felt an opposition player tackle me as I went to release the ball and felt a popping and intense pain in my right knee. I knew straight away that it was a bad injury.
Following an MRI scan I have now had the unfortunate news that I have torn both my ACL and MCL and need surgery to repair both ligaments.
I am needing surgery as soon as possible in order to give me the best chance of getting back out on the pitch again. This injury has also had a massive impact, and will continue to have an impact, on my ability to work at my maximum capacity at school, due to the active nature of my job.
Unfortunately this comes at a cost for me. I am looking for some help and support so I can get back out and do what I love, both on the pitch and off the pitch in my job.
Thank you to everyone for their support.
