Cho Oyu funding

Hello everyone, if you’re reading this you probably know who I am and what my project is!!

My name is Gelje Sherpa, I am a profesional mountaineer with the aim of becoming the youngest ever person to summit all 14x8000m peaks. My next big climb is Cho Oyu from the Nepal side which hasn’t been climbed successfully since 2009. BUT, this is not all! We also will be attempting during winter.

We will hopefully open a commercial route for future expeditions, another great endeavour for the tourism development of Nepal!

So this is my penultimate summit before I complete all 14 and unfortunately we are short on funds before we depart in December. We are an all Nepali team, representing our country on this beautiful mountain and hoping to make history once again!

This project is my dream, my passion, my life. However as a young climber it is hard to find substantial funds for big climbs like this and so I am asking only for this climb for my supporters to help!

I hope by completing this project and becoming the youngest person I can once again raise the flag of Nepal and show the world that we are the pioneers of the 8000ers!! I want to give other Nepali climbers like me the recognition they need to make a career out of what they love.
