Chorley and Leyland METHODIST HOMES FOR THE AGED

Launched on MHA Sunday, we're challenging Methodists in the Chorley and Leyland family of churches to raise awareness and funding towards activity box sets for local care homes, to acknowledge our key care workers in those settings, and the challenging times they've been through already with Covid-19, and to remember all their residents at this time, providing wonderful activities for them to enjoy.

We've set a target of 40 days (remembering how significant the number 40 is in the Bible), to acknowledge that in the last week, the number of confirmed cases of people dying from Covid-19 in the UK exceeded 40,000 (aware that the true number is significantly higher than this).

We remember each and every family affected in our thoughts and prayers.

Rev'd Phil is setting the ball rolling by cycling on the exercise bike for at least 25km per day for 40 days, starting Monday 15th June, and finishing on Friday 24th July.
