The sole purpose of Chowdown Cincinnati is to lift up local restaurants in the greater Cincinnati area and beyond. As part of that, we ask that you only share POSITIVE experiences you've had with local joints! If you go somewhere and it's not for you, that's totally understandable, but we ask that you don't share negative views here. You can post reviews on your own page.
Call it "Thumper rules." If you can't say somethin nice, don't say nothin at all!
We live in a wonderful city that has places to suit all kinds, so we don't expect every restaurant to be up everybody's alley! We may disagree on what we like, and that's fine! Just share your favorites!
We want this to be a positive place for interaction, there's too few of those around these days.
That being said, we know our local restaurants had a difficult year and continue to pivot. As we approach the one year anniversary since covid-19 wreaked havoc on the restaurant industry, our community wants to do something extra special to show our love & support.
The Crosstown Tip-Off made local and national headlines. We want in on the action and are encouraging Chowdown members to contribute what they can to be a blessing to the very folks who are serving the delicious food we savor & discuss in our Facebook group. Whether you can pitch in $5 or $500, we guarantee that 100% of net proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly towards waitstaff at some of the best independent restaurants in Cincinnati.
We read your reviews and your photo recaps make us drool. We'll use these posts in the Chowdown Cincinnati Facebook group to identify who the Chowdown crew should bless. Our goal is to raise 25K and to put $513 into the hands of our server at 45+ independent restaurants in the Greater Cincinnati area. Let's continue the positive momentum!
