Chris A's Eagle Scout Project 2018

Hi, my name is Christopher Arevalo.  I have been a scout since 1st grade.  Currently, I am a Life Scout with Troop 5 Maplewood, NJ.  I am currently a Freshman at Columbia High School, in Maplewood, NJ.

My Eagle Scout Project will benefit the Maplewood Senior Center.  I am building 6 garden beds with water reservoirs and 8 benches that will be placed between, and at the ends of, each garden bed.  These beds will be located along a path that connects the Maplewood Senior Center and Dehart Park.  I have been to many local businesses, pricing materials, supplies, and tools, and my budget has come out to a whopping $4,000.  In addition to asking for donations in town, I would like to raise the funds, with your help, through this site.

I plan to start building in mid-April, so that this project can be completed by the summer.  In addition, I will donate tools, such as shovels and gloves, and a binder explaining how to tend the plants to the Senior Center. I need your support.  Every penny counts.  Thank you for your support.
