Chris Burns and Anna McNicholas

Hi, my name is Linda Miller and I am organizing this on behalf of Chris Burns and my sister Anna McNicholas, as the only thing they should be concentrating on is Chris getting well.

Chris was in a horrific car accident Friday night and is facing multiple surgeries. Chris broke his right arm, left leg, jaw/facial bones, ribs and a few vertebrae in his back.

He has already undergone surgery for his arm and leg and will require more surgery on his leg along with his jaw. We expect him to be in the hospital for another week and then need inpatient rehab for some time as well.

He won’t have any use of his arm or leg for quite some time. With hard work they expect him to have a full recovery and eventually get back onto the ice, travel and do everything he loves.

Chris and Anna met in 2018, fell in love instantly and moved in together in 2019. They also rescued their fur baby Gretzky in 2019 and he is the love of their lives.

Chris has an amazing work ethic and not only works a full-time job during the day but works refereeing hockey games at night and on the weekends.

On Saturday, while the doctors were trying to explain the extent of his injuries, Chris was asking Anna to please tell work he’d only be out no longer than 10 days and was more concerned about who was going to do his job while he was in the hospital. Chris was also asking Anna to contact the teams he was to referee for Saturday and Sunday as he didn’t want them to have to forfeit a game.

Anna also has an incredible work ethic. She is a nurse manager full time and on her days off runs a vaccine clinic.

Please consider any amount of a donation as the medical bills are piling up and with them both currently out of work while he is in the hospital in Boston, they truly need the help right now.

Chris has a very long road of recovery ahead of him and with the love and care of his partner Anna I truly believe he will be great again.
