Chris Boyce Special Olympics Memorial Fund
In memory of Chris Boyce, a Special Olympian for nearly 30 years, who passed away suddenly on June 7, 2021. His family wishes to honor his memory by supporting this amazing organization and all the volunteers who make it an incredible experience for the athletes. The opportunity to be a part of Special Olympics enriched Chris’s life every day. He made 100’s of friends and loved practicing his skills for the next competition. His nickname was “Magic Hands” because of his skills and he won hundreds of medals throughout his lifetime.
I am Chris’s sister, Rebecca Boyce-Helt. Watching my brother compete in Special Olympic events for many years taught me so much about patience, perseverance and determination. His positive attitude about everything in life helped change my perspective about how to coach my own athletes.
Our hearts are broken over the loss of Chris “Magic Hands” Boyce. We hope that by providing this support to Special Olympics Lycoming County, his memory will live on.
100% of the donations made in memory of Chris will be withdrawn by myself, Rebecca Boyce-Helt, and presented directly to Special Olympics Lycoming County. The funds will be utilized to provide uniforms, equipment, training facility fees, travel, hotel and food costs for Special Olympic athletes in Lycoming County, where my brother participated.
