Chris Budny recovery and medical fund.

Hi, I’m Tiana Walter I have created this fund to help my brother Chris Budny in his time of need. On October 23 my brother woke up like any normal day when things quickly took a horrible turn. He began to lose speech and mobility on his right side! Luckily his wife Alicia was by his side and quickly called 911! When Chris arrived to the hospital they ran multiple test to discover he had suffered from two strokes. He quickly was able to gain speech and most of his mobility back which is an absolute miracle! They found two areas in his brain that were scarred from the stroke and they discovered the blood clot that caused it.

While Chris was recovering he had a fluctuating blood pressure and heart rate causing the doctors to continue more testing. After a CAT scan and an MRI they discovered a mass in his heart that they are thinking could be a tumor or a very large blood clot. Both requiring open heart surgery in 6 weeks in Indianapolis! Chris has started multiple medications and just returned home to recover and prepare for surgery.

Chris is wearing a heart monitor 24/7 sending all information to the doctors so he is under constand watch. Chris cannot work for the following weeks prior to his surgery and for many weeks after while he recovers. His wife Alicia is watching him around the clock and when she cannot our mom Teresa and Chris’s daughter Brittnee. Due to the unknown of the mass in his heart and recovery from the stroke Chris must remain home and under little stress. Chris will begin physical therapy next week up until his surgery!

We are so thankful the Lord has given Chris another chance! Chris is determined to regain 100% mobility from his stroke and come out of open heart surgery even stronger than before. While we are all scared of the future we have our trust in the Lord and are so thankful for all the prayers!

We know times are difficult for everyone right now but with Chris looking at being off work for around five months he and his family are in need of financial support. While bills continue to roll in the medical bills will begin soon as well! We all know stress can be detrimental to recovery and just ask for any help you may be able to give.

As we receive updates on Chris’s health and health plan we will continue to update everyone!
