Chris Bustos

Hello friends and family,

Chris my daughters partner went into the hospital for a scheduled reverse colostomy surgery on 12/2/22. He has been struggling with this condition for 3 years due to Diverticulitis.

The surgeon told us that his time to be hospitalized was approximately a week. He originally was taking 6 weeks off work UNPAID to have this procedure done, and including the cost of the surgery.

After all of this, the surgery was unsuccessful. Chris went downhill after about 48hrs. Needless to say, the care at the hospital has been less then satisfactory. After three days, Chris was having a hard time breathing. By day six, he was then taken into ICU.

Chris was then rushed into a second surgery due to a blockage and leak at the incision site after many tests were done. He is now in critical care. There was a leak in his body at the incision site that if not fixed, he would have died.

He is now fighting a horrible infection in his body and will be in the hospital much longer than anticipated. We are all praying for a Godspeed recovery, and for Chris to return home and start his journey of healing mentally and physically after an unsuccessful surgery. Chris’s family, our family and Ashley have been at the mercy of the hospital and praying for him daily, for all the trama he has endured being there.

Chris will not be receiving any income during this time. Ashley is self employed and has missed a lot of time away from her job. They both need SO much support right now.

Chris is such an AMAZING, special person he deserves the WORLD. We can’t imagine a world without him.

We are just utterly heartbroken. Anything you can do to help them financially and mentally would be greatly appreciated more than you know
