Christine's Cancer Trip

Hi, my name is Christine,
Last August I was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. This came as a total shock to my husband and me, since I had no prior signs of cancer and I am a non-smoker. I was diagnosed on a Monday and less than 48 hours later on Wednesday I was in the operating room where they removed cancer from my spine, T4-6, that was creating pressure and blocking the signal down my spinal cord to my right leg. When I left the hospital the Lead Doctor on my team recommended that I check myself in to a hospice because she felt that I only had 3 months survival time. The main source of cancer was found as a non small cell in my right lung. They also found the cancer had spread to my bones; on my ribs, and pelvic bone where 5 spots were found. The picture is of me working hard during my rehab stay, reteaching my right leg to walk.
After 5 weeks in a rehab facility, and 2 weeks at home I was able to return to work. God, Prayers, my Husband, family and friends have carried me through this difficult time.
*An unforeseeable travel hike came up so this is why I increased my goal. For those who have seen that goal attained I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The reason I am sharing this is because, my illness has shown me that my time may be limited on this earth. I have opened an account on Go Fund Me because Andy and I would like to go see our Grandchildren on the East Coast. With the medical costs coming in I would like to ask for your help to help us create a time where we can make some wonderful lasting memories.
