Chris Carney's Journey: Overcoming Cancer

My name is Chris Carney. I'm 55 years old. I'm a father and husband to a great wife and the best loving daughter a dad could ask for.

This past September 2024, I had some sudden medical issues that brought me to the ER room. Ten hours later, I was told the news no person ever wants to hear: Cancer of the colon and part of my small intestine needed to be removed as well. On October 15th, 2024, I underwent surgery. Unfortunately, three months later, I was told the cancer had gone into my blood and an aggressive treatment of chemotherapy would be needed. I have just finished my fifth treatment of chemotherapy and, with luck, will only need seven more treatments. God willing, I will be cured, or the fight will continue as I don't plan to give up that easily.

I have been out of work now for over six months. This has caused me untold financial hardship between medical costs and living costs, and I'm at the end of my road. I have never been one to wear my heart on my sleeve and have always tried to keep my problems my "problems." So, this has been a very humbling time for me, and I open my heart to all, asking if you could help.
