Chris Cecil Cancer Battle
Donation protected
Hi there. My name is Danielle Cecil and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my father, Christopher Cecil. He was diagnosed with Invasive Squamous Cell Carcinoma in June of 2023. This shocking and scary news has shaken our entire family and Chris is very afraid, but we know he can beat this!
Being off work will create financial stress which is not needed at this time. Your support can ease his stress and provide comfort. The purpose of this fund is to assist Chris with any medical bills, household bills, and/or necessities. He started chemo and radiation on Monday July 17th and goes Monday-Friday for the next 11 weeks.
Chris spent 8 years in the US Army as an E5 SGT. When he got out, he followed the career of serving and protecting and became a police officer for the city of Peoria for 9 years. He now works as a maintenance supervisor. Chris has always been a hard worker with dedication.
Chris has 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He has 2 children, a son, and a daughter. He is very loved by his family and an absolute blast to be around! He can make anybody laugh at any time. He’s one of the funniest guys I know. He enjoys fishing, going out to the shooting range, and painting. He is always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need.
Think back in your life and consider that special friend, family member or coach who always went the extra mile for you? Have you had someone who carried you through tough times when you were down? Have you had someone who guided you through life, helping you where you needed it most? If the answer is yes, then you know my dad. I know by making this fundraiser I can maybe ease his stress, just a little bit.
I humbly ask that you do the following to help:
1. Share this link to your social media.
2. Make a donation. (Yes, times are tough, I know. NO amount is too small.)
3. Leave a note to let Chris and his family know you are behind them during his fight.
Please continue to support Chris and his family in whatever way possible. Take the time to say a special prayer and keep him in your thoughts as he begins his battle. On behalf of his many friends and family, I sincerely thank you for your support.
