Chris Cofer Memorial Scholarship

Chris Cofer was an extraordinary human being. He loved his family, he loved baseball and he loved the Clover Hill Bucks. As a player, he commanded second base for Clover Hill for several championship teams. As a manager of the Bucks, he also led them to two championships. Chris was a joke teller, a prankster but most importantly a great teammate and friend. He always helped others and made everyone around him feel at ease. He loved to play the guitar and the sounds of George Strait’s “Amarillo By Morning” still echo through our minds.
Chris also had struggles with anxiety. His family wants to raise awareness around mental health issues faced by so many. Their goal is to help others with their challenges and educate everyone that mental health struggles are real with help available for those without hope.
This memorial scholarship fund will directly help Chris’ daughters further their education. In the future, one person will be selected to receive the annual scholarship. The fund will also help promote mental health awareness in our community. Please join us to fund this scholarship as a memorial to the life of Chris Cofer, our teammate, our coach and most of all, our friend.
