Chris desperately needs heating oil right now

Chris the cynic is a talented writer and generally great person. Unfortunately, she's also disabled and lives in Maine. Where it's incredibly cold. And she needs money to get heating oil for this month so she doesn't have to pay for it in a way that'll mean her public assistance (SSI) getting cut next month.

That's were you and I come in. I'm working with her to set up some other fundraising options besides her Patreon, paypal, and ko-fi, because those count as income and mean her disability gets dinged. (In short, she can have someone else pay for things but if she recieves money then her SSI the next month is less.)

Who am I? A random internet friend with good credit. What can you do? Donate so she doesn't freeze this month or have to use money meant for food and bills next month.
