Chris’ Fight #11

Hello, my name is Maryanne Cordi and I am raising funds for my grandson, Chris. Below is a message from his mother explaining the reason for our fundraising efforts.

My son, Chris, is a Junior at Pinelands Regional High School and a member of the Pinelands football team. He also plays Flag football for the South Jersey Flag Football Association and recently started his first job at Jersey Mikes in Little Egg Harbor. Unfortunately, Chris has been diagnosed with stage 3 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of pediatric cancer.

The battle began when Chris started experiencing stomach pain and was taken to our local hospital, Atlanticare, where a tumor about 4 inches in size was discovered arising from his prostate. He was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and admitted to the ICU. The tumor was obstructing his ability to urinate, causing his kidneys to back up with urine, leading to severe pain.

Chris's treatment plan includes weekly chemo infusions at Children's Hospital in Philly for the next 40 weeks. As a family, we are reaching out for help and support through this GoFundMe page to alleviate some of the financial burden and ensure that Chris receives the best possible care.
