Chris Govier Memorial College Fund
I am setting up this GoFundMe fundraiser to honor Chris’ memory and to assist with the financial burden of sending his four incredible children; Alannah, Lochlan, Grier, (aka GiGi) and Griffin to college.
We lost Chris at the age of 43 on October 25, 2020. He laid down for a restful sleep Saturday evening and was taken from us all to serve as he did on earth.
Chris grew up in Glasgow, Scotland and endured a childhood with numerous obstacles and hardships. Despite those challenges, through strength of character and what many would describe as an incredible work ethic, and a supportive and loving group in Glasgow he was able to attend college. Chris moved to The States and begin a life filled with love and adventure. He and Rachel were blessed with four amazing children. Those who were honored to know Chris and spend time with him knew him as warm, caring, thoughtful and always there when you were in need. His life revolved around his deep love for his children. Every time we shared dinner at the house, we always “Zoomed” with the children.
The first time I was blessed to spend time with the kids was a day at Water World, then back to the house for pizza and wings. I witnessed a bond and respect between the children that was admirable beyond words.
I ask that you help fund Alannah’s, Lochlan’s, Grier’s, and Griffin’s college education. Please leave a Chris memory with your donation so the children can appreciate the thoughtful man they called “Dad”.
Thanks in advance and God Bless.
