Christopher Grassi Fire Fund

(My current sleeping quarters, temporarily until I move into my new place. 4/5/2015)

Chris & 3 roommates lost their (rented) home in Manoa, Honolulu, HI and all of their belongings in a house fire on March 18, 2015.

 
They are all humbled by their losses and extremely thankful no one was seriously hurt. 

The fire was accidentally started by a roommate’s unattended cooking. Within minutes of his roommate leaving the kitchen, the house was engulfed! Unfortunately, it was a very fast moving fire. The house was consumed in ½ hour.

Chris is doing well processing this experience.  He is extremely positive knowing that it could have been worse, but the losses are financially difficult to replace alone. We are hoping to get him started toward his future and for him to get back on his feet and settled into his own bed as soon as possible.

The funds will be used not only for replacing what was lost, but also for a temporary place to live & relocation expenses.  He needs everything from toiletries, clothing, a bed, computer equipment, kitchen accessories to furniture. 

All donations are genuinely appreciated. Big or small, they all add up & is a gesture that will never be forgotten. At a time like this, asking for help is hard but necessary.
