Help us bring our Dad Home!

We had a lot of people reach out and ask how they can help, or what they can do to support us during this difficult time. Another friend suggested opening a memorial fund / donation page, which we had never really considered. The upcoming process is quite cumbersome considering we live in Canada, our Dad is in Spain, and most of our family and his life long friends are in England (and NZ). We will use this money for the cremation services as well as for all the necessary processes and travel arrangements that are involved with the international transfer of our dad's ashes.

His currency was not money. His currency was love. Although he didn't have much, he would give you the shirt off his back and the shoes off his feet if he felt you needed it more. He was always there for us while growing up, and he made friends everywhere he went. He made lifelong friends at every job he had, every soccer game he went to (as a player, coach, or parent), every gymnastics event he attended, and was a father figure to most of my teammates growing up as well. He was the life and soul of the party, and his energy was infectious. It seems that no matter how long you knew him for, he made a lasting impact - that is evident by the amount of messages we've received in this short period of time!

We want to honour him in the best way we can and in addition to bringing our dad's ashes home, your support will help us remember him the way he deserves. We will be holding a celebration of life in the UK soon and another in Barrie later on (details to come). It is very important for us to have as much family & friends as possible together to celebrate our dad's life and the impact he has had on communities around the world.
