Chris Lemmonds Family - Pi Kappa Alpha

Anyone who ever met Chris Lemmonds would remember him. Not only was his appearance memorable (leading to many nicknames over the years), but his friendly nature, infectious personality, genuine care for all of those around him, and great love of God and family left an impression on those that were blessed to know him.
Chris Lemmonds lost his 2 year battle with brain cancer earlier this year. Chris was a husband to Nicole and father of 6 beautiful children. Chris attended Winthrop University 1992-1997 and studied Graphic Design and went on to run a successful company - Lemmonds Design. Chris was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity at Winthrop and maintained many of those relationships for decades.
I had the honor of knowing Chris for more than half of my life, and he was my roommate for 3 years of school. After speaking to Nicole(his wife) a few weeks ago, I offered to spearhead an effort to put together a vacation for her family. The Lemmonds family always loved the mountains and had a place in Blowing Rock that they sold when Chris got sick. I would like to take away the expense, and planning from Nicole and set the family up for a few day mountain respite before Jaden (oldest daughter) starts Winthrop as a freshman this fall.
The logistics of getting 6 kids in the same direction, several hours away is more than enough for Nicole. If we can take care of the booking, cost, and maybe a couple of events, we could be heroes, right??
For those that do no know, this family has handled their situation with such grace, dignity, and peace. They have been an inspiration to many. Chris had a remarkable faith and was grateful for the time to say goodbye to his family and friends. Time is a gift, and Chris made the most of his. As his family continues to grieve his loss, I ask you to continue to lift them up in your prayers.
I have little doubt that anyone who met Chris is a better person for knowing him. We are asking for Theta Sigma brothers, other Pikes, and other friends to support this campaign.
