Chris Lienau Memorial Fund

Just sharing an update to comply with GFM rules. Eva is my sister in law and his daughter's Bridget and Meaghan are my nieces. The money will be going to them and to help pay Chris' medical bills. Liz Staruck (Chris' sister).

Chris passed away on August 17, 2023, shortly before 9 pm. He was surrounded by countless family and friends who laughed and cried and let him know it was ok to let go. He was selfless in life and selfless in death. We learned today that he saved the life of a woman who was in end-stage renal failure. His siblings promised him that we would take care of Eva and his beautiful daughters. We are overwhelmed by the donations and will use this fund to support them. Thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts.

On August 7, 2023, Chris suffered a massive stroke that has now been connected to a rare genetic condition called Moyamoya. He is currently in the ICU in Arizona. This last week has been a rollercoaster with many ups and sadly many downs. Chris started showing some promising signs of brain function but then had a setback when he contracted pneumonia. He is fighting that infection and is stable. The goal is to wean him off the ventilator. It is too early to tell what his future holds, but he is a strong person with a lot to live for. Chris and Eva married last September and he is devoted to his two daughters, Bridget and Meaghan. Those that know Chris are familiar with this wicked sense of humor and love for the Chicago Bears, South Carolina Gamecocks, spicy food and his two puppies, Willie and Biscuit. In addition to the prayers, we seek your support to help ease the financial burden this will place on his family. We are one step at a time and appreciate all the kind words and support.
