Chris Mathis

Christopher ''Chris'' Mathis, 50, of Conway gained his heavenly reward on September 10, 2023. He was born August 9, 1973, in Conway, Arkansas to Tom and Brenda Mathis. Chris was a selfless man, always doing things for others and willing to give the shirt off his back. He loved being outdoors from dusk till dawn; he constantly stayed tinkering around outside. More than anything Chris loved to spend time with his family and being a doting ''Papaw''. His grandkids were his best friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sodie and Erma Hazel, and Marvin and Odean Mathis.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Candice Mathis, parents, Tom and Brenda Mathis, children, Emily Mathis, Matt (Caitlyn) Mathis, Hailey (Christopher) Schmidt, Justus (Ksenia) Marcus, Ashlyn Marcus, and Bryce Marcus, grandchildren, Adeline and Christopher ''Lex'' Schmidt, brother, Dusty (Jessica) Mathis, seven nieces and nephews, and many more friends and family.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Graveside Service will be at 2:00PM Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
