Chris McCann: Husband, Marine, Firefighter

Chris McCann is a Husband, a Marine, and Professional Firefighter/EMT with the city of Lancaster PA.

Chris is selfless, caring, and a quiet hero. We’ve witnessed Chris enter burning buildings, perform technical rescues, and save lives as an Firefighter/EMT and help countless others in our community.

Now it’s Chris who needs help. Thursday Sept 28th, just before 7am on his way to the fire dept, Chris was involved in a motorcycle accident. Thanks to the quick response and amazing work of the EMTs, Paramedics, MTFD as well as Doctors and Nurses at Penn Medicine, Chris is still currently fighting for his life. He’s already been through the gauntlet of tests and surgery’s, with injuries too numerous to mention. While we are hopeful for a full recovery, he was given a 1% chance of survival that first day. He continues to make progress which is a miracle.

Chris has an extremely long road to recovery. We are asking for your prayers for Chris and his family, as well as your financial support as he and his care team navigate healing and work on getting him back to helping his community as a Firefighter.
