Chris McGinnis Memorial Fund

After the sad news of our close friend, Chris’, passing away on Wednesday 10th May 2023, we have set up this donation page to help support Mel and the girls the best we can.

Chris was tragically diagnosed with Metastasis Cholangiocarcinoma, an aggressive form of bile duct cancer, earlier this year. Doctors initially gave Chris a prognosis of up to 12 months but sadly he passed away 3 months after diagnosis. Just days before his passing, Chris married the love of his life Mel, they should have had so much more time as a family.

Chris was the funniest, naughtiest guy, who had a wicked sense of humour. He was an incredible husband to Mel and doting father to his beautiful girls Onora & Nuala. Chris worked so hard to give his family the life they always dreamed of. He was taken away from us all far too soon without having the chance to make all of the precious memories with the family he adored. Chris will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.

There are so many major changes that Mel is going to have to make to her day-to-day life for her and their girls because nobody plans to lose their soul mate at 35 and just days after their wedding.

We want to do whatever we can to take the financial burden away from Mel and to help give Chris the send off he deserves. We hope any donations can be used to help pay towards Chris’ funeral costs and to provide a trust fund for Chris’ daughters who are only 3 and 1, just babies who will grow up without their daddy who they both adored. We want them to have this trust fund as a legacy in their daddy’s name.

Any donations will be a great help to support Mel and both children whilst they navigate the unimaginable grief and uncertainty surrounding them at this time.
